Profile

Have been working as a Scientist since, 2018 in the PPPT division of IWST (erstwhile IPIRTI), Bengaluru. Area of specialization focus on Product Development, Testing and Evaluation of Building Materials from Wood and Wood-Based Products. Also, 13 years of experience in R&D related to testing and evaluation of building materials such as cement, concrete, wood and other lingo-cellulosic materials.

Education

B. E (Civil Engineering).,
M.E (Construction Engineering and Management) from CEG, Anna University, Chennai.

Research Activities

R&D activities on Testing, Evaluation and Development of building materials such as cement, concrete, timber, and other panel products.

Fiber-reinforced composite/ panel products for structural and heavy load applications.

Development of Engineered Wood Products (EWP) such as RLVL for structural applications.

As a part of teaching and training for students theory and practical classes on Panel Products Applications (PPA) and Timber Engineering. Also, Short-term training courses and student projects for M.E & B.E were guided.

Research Expertise

Development of composite cements, concrete, wood based panel products and other alternatives.

Development of panel products from other ligno - cellulosic materials such as Lantana, natural fibers, etc

Development of fiber reinforced plywood and LVL for heavy duty applications

Modular panel systems were being developed for bamboo housing which will enable prefabrication in bamboo housing using all IPIRTI developed products.
