Research Activities

Improvement in properties of non-traditional low value resources is a significant issue to meet the growing demand of wood and wood products in a sustainable way. The applications of such materials and significance of improved processing with minimum adverse impact on human health and environment have been growing around the world. Thus, my research interest is focused on development of sustainable technologies for non-traditional and low value bio-resources such as bamboo such as development of dielectric heating as a sustainable bio-resource technology; using heat-treatment for value addition of bio-resources and development of bio-composites from low value non-traditional resources such as bamboo, bio-residues.
